ABOUT US · OUR PHILOSOPHY

We show up.
In person.
In your corner.

Personal commitment. Serious legal preparation.

A welcoming handshake during an in-person meeting

The Law Offices of Thomas D. Gearon P.C. is a boutique law firm built around a simple conviction: you deserve to know the people standing beside you.

We have many cases. Your case is your only case. We respect that difference. Your health, your family, and your future deserve personal attention—not a place in a queue.

We get on a plane. We shake your hand. We sit across the table.

When you and your family are facing difficult questions, a phone call cannot tell the whole story. We travel to meet players face-to-face, listen to what life looks like beyond the paperwork, and understand the difficulties that matter most to you. You should meet the team representing you.

Our attorneys do the work. You won’t find figureheads or a quiet hand-off to a junior partner you have never met. We take responsibility for the preparation, the strategy, and the conversations your case requires.

Being a boutique firm does not mean taking on small challenges. We handle high-stakes matters through deep legal analysis, meticulous preparation, and the determination to keep working through hard problems.

We bring resolve to a dispute and compassion to the people living through it. We are real people with families of our own. That shapes how we listen, how we communicate, and how we treat yours.

We would rather understand what you need than spend the meeting talking about ourselves. Expect candid answers, honest conversations, and the space to make difficult decisions with your eyes open.

Your story comes first.
Our work starts with listening.

Attorney

Leo L. Clarke

Leo L. Clarke brings extensive federal litigation experience, two decades of law teaching, and a substantial record of legal scholarship to his work with Thomas D. Gearon and the firm’s clients. A former law professor of Tom’s, Leo combines rigorous legal analysis with the practical experience needed to present complex arguments clearly.

His work with the firm includes drafting NFL settlement appeals, including an appeal on behalf of a former player that limited attorney fees. For retired players and their families, that experience matters when an appeal requires careful attention to the record, the settlement’s terms, and the legal arguments supporting their position.

Leo has handled appeals in three federal circuits and five states and served as counsel of record in federal and state trial courts across twelve states. His experience includes class and collective actions, substantial motion practice, and evidentiary hearings. He brings that depth of preparation to written advocacy for consideration by courts and settlement decision-makers.
